Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to the class start time. Classes will begin promptly at their scheduled timeslot. A brief warmup and cooldown are included, but please allow yourself time to arrive, settle in, and stretch if needed.
-
Any cancellation due by your instructor or the dance studio will be notified via social media / private Facebook group. These cancellations will not count toward any pre-purchased class pack - the expiry date of a class card will be extended as needed by the instructor. Class cards include one makeup date as noted. There are no refunds unless the studio or instructor need to cancel a series.
-
We have a private Facebook Group for ongoing weekly classes with each instructor. Please let your instructor know if you would like to join that private group. We take the privacy of the group very seriously - anything that is recorded in class is not to be shared without the express permission of the instructor. You are welcome to record portions of the class for your private study / review but please do not post these publicly. Doing so will cause you to be expelled from the classes and studio without refund.
-
Depending on the class / series / instructor, some props or instruments may be required. The instructor may have a very limited number of that item to borrow during the class. If you are interested in purchasing your own, we are happy to give you examples of where/what to purchase (e.g. Zills or Finger Cymbals, Veils, etc.)
-
You can wear any comfortable clothing that will not restrict your movements - yoga-wear is recommended. Something more form-fitting if possible so your instructor can see your movements more clearly. Hip scarves / coin belts are permitted and encouraged, but please do not wear anything with loose beading or broken pieces in order to save our feet and the flooring. Bare feet, socks, ballet flats, or sneakers are all permitted. Your instructor will always have basic coin scarves for purchase or to borrow for the class.
-
Anybody with any body are welcome. There is no restriction due to age or gender. All are welcome to learn, have fun, and be a part of our dance community. If you need any adjustments due to injury or otherwise, please speak to your instructor. We are happy to modify anything to suit you.

FCBD®Style Dance with Andriel
-
Join Andriel in learning how to dance as one entity with FCBD®Style.
FatChanceBellyDance®Style (formerly American Tribal Style®) is a modern, group improvisational style of belly dance created by Carolena Nericcio.
FCBD®Style is a fusion dance form. The movements are inspired by folkloric dances of the Middle East, North Africa, Spain, and India. It is a uniquely modern creation that does not represent an “authentic" dance from any particular region.
FCBD®Style is a method of improvisational choreography, using a vocabulary of natural movements and cues allowing the dancers to communicate via gesture and eye contact when dancing together.
Improv Team Synchronization with Jessi
-
Join Jessi in learning this modern, team-style approach to dance that requires the willingness to be disciplined and the ability to let go.
I.T.S. (Improvisational Team Synchronization) is a fusion dance format created by Amy Sigil.
I.T.S. is performed by a group of dancers consisting of a leader and followers. It relies on a shared vocabulary of movements, each initiated by the leader using a distinct cue movement. After the cue, a short choreographed movement sequence (combo) is performed by the group.
The leader chooses the movements based on their interpretation of the music, often done spontaneously, during the performance. The result is a dance that appears choreographed, but is in fact structured improvisation.
Learn to dance anywhere, to any music, with anyone who speaks the language.
